El Hierro is the farthest Islands west in the Canary Islands and is also the smallest. As the smallest and furthest west El Hierro get the least amount of tourists of all the Canary Islands allowing the visitors to enjoy a very quiet and peaceful holiday.
Echedo
Echedo is located towards the northern part of the island and is situated within the wine growing region of the Island. Echedo is located slightly inland meaning to visit the sea you will need to travel around 4km but you will be face to face with Charco Manso which is a natural swimming pool.
Surrounding Echedo are hills allowing for some walking when you feel like stretching your legs.
Frontera
Frontera can be found towards the centre of the Island but still close to the sea. This tourist destination offer all local shops you will need on a trip including shops, bars, restaurants and banks for example.
Traveling around this resort you may come across the famous church which is found on many post cards. You will find plenty of places to walk and see the sights and because of the fertile solid many locally grown products including of course, wine.
La Restinga
La Restingais at the very south of El Hierro and is a small fishing village. La Restinga is a good destination if you are interested in the sun as it boats around 320 days of sunshine a year.
La Restinga does offer a small beach to go with the 320 days of sunshine in the harbour area. La Restinga is well known for it's diving through and as you could guess does offer some great sea food. Close to La Restinga you will also find a Pine forest which allows for a lovely walking area.
Las Playas
Las Playas is again a small place to visit but offers some of the highest view points around. Above Las Playas you can find a 1,000 meter high view point which is over looking Las Playas. The surrounding area is very good for walking / hiking so visiting Las Playas and the surrounding area you best keep your walking shoes on.
