Canary Islands Map

The Canary Islands are one of the most popular tourist destinations for people from throughout Europe, and for very good reason. Islands within the chain include Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura, all of which are popular tourist destinations.

So what is it about the Canary Islands that makes it such a good place to go on holiday?

Climate

The climate in the Canary Islands is very favourable year round. Temperatures rarely drop below 20 degrees, meaning you can go on holiday to Tenerife at Christmas and still enjoy a relaxing trip in the sun. Likewise, the Canary Islands are also extremely popular for people going on holidays at Easter, half term school breaks and during the summer months. However, due to the fact that the weather stays good even over winter the peak season in the islands is between October and March.

Accommodation

There is no shortage of accommodation to choose from in the Canary Islands. Whether you plan on visiting Tenerife, Lanzarote, Gran Canaria or Fuerteventura on a summer holiday or long weekend, you will be able to find suitable accommodation at a price to suit. You can find all sorts of accommodation from classy 5 star hotels on the beach to self-catering apartments. If you have a hotel or apartment in mind it is highly advisable that you book well in advance or risk missing a room.
