Corralejo

Corralejo is a bustling tourist resort, based around a working harbour, situated at the northern end of Fuerteventura. About 40 minutes from the airport it is a growing tourist resort but still retains its Canarian charm with a rambling network of streets to explore and a beautiful harbour area. Corralejo is the largest and most cosmopolitan of the tourist resorts on the island, as it is popular with visitors from all over Europe and beyond.

Directly behind Corralejo is a protected nature reserve which is a vast area of golden sand dunes and ideallic beaches. Corralejo is becoming the premier tourist hotspot on the island, with an array of water sports and beach loving holiday makers galore, a wonderland of beautiful beaches, clear sparkling blue and green seas, interesting shops and fascinating night life.

Corralejo boasts splendid views across to Lanzarote and ferry crossings a number of times a day to the island.

Costa Calma

Costa Calma is at the northern end of the Jandia Peninsula which has 28km of white and gold sand on some of the best beaches in the world. Costa Calma is largely tailored towards German-speaking visitors although there are a few English companies that deal with this area. Well known for its' beautiful beaches and fantastic coastline it is particuarly famous for Windsurfing and Kitesailing where the World Championships take place each year in summer

El Cotillo

El Cotillo is a small village at the northern end of Fuerteventura, on the west coast about 20 minutes from Corallejo. It is a friendly working fishing village with some excellent traditional restaurants and several small supermarkets. El Cotillo is small and rustic with comparatively few tourist amenities. It is a place for people who want to relax and unwind enjoying the purity of the unspoilt surroundings.

El Cotillo is famous for its wonderful uncrowded beaches, and the coastline makes it ideal for fishing. It is surrounded by amazing beaches with sandy coves and lagoons to the north offering sheltered swimming, which are ideal for families. El Cotillo is on the west coast of the island, which means that the sunsets here are absolutely spectacular.

Caleta de Fuste

Caleta de Fuste is ideally situated in the middle of the island and is just 15 minutes from the airport. It is a compact resort, centered around the wide main street flanked by low-rise buildings, it is your typical Canarian fishing village turned resort. Caleta de Fuste is a modern holiday resort, which is rapidly becoming known for the quality and variety of services that have recently been added. This is a perfect resort for quiet and slightly upmarket family holidays.

The horse shoe shaped beach of Caleta de Fuste is an ideal location for families with its easygoing, relaxed atmosphere and gently shelving beach as well as excellent watersports.

The area around the holiday resort of Caleta de Fuste is made up of occasional small Canarian villages and Fuerteventura's former capital Betancuria. There is only one golf course in Fuerteventura and Caleta de Fuste is lucky enough to boast this magnificent course.

Morro Jable

Morro Jable was once a small fishing village, it has now grown into one of the biggest holiday resorts for German tourists on the island. Nowadays Morro Jable has something for everyone. The miles of golden beaches and clear blue seas, shops, bars and restaurants attract thousands of tourists each year.

Despite all the tourism the old village still remains intact and there is a quaint harbour in the west of the town which is used by local fishermen and yachtsmen. Some of the beaches here are the longest and most beautiful in the Canary Islands stretching 35km and there's plenty to do for the water sports enthusiast from jet skiing to windsurfing.

It is also possible to take a jet foil from Morro Jable over to the neighboring island of Gran Canaria.
